Solutions for health care

Once the physiological functions of the patient depend temporarily or permanently on devices connected to the mains, there is a vital need to maintain maximum safety and reliability of power supply for these supportive devices. The power supply availability from electrical network must be guaranteed even in the case of a failure. ELEKTROKOV, a.s. ZNOJMO provides protective separation transformers for power supply systems in health-care rooms.  These transformers ensure power supply to medical devices, systems supporting vital functions during surgery and other devices used in the patient environment.

To health care facilities, we offer single-phase transformers with converting voltage of 230 V / 230 V with frequency 50 / 60 Hz and transmitted power from 1 to 10 kVA.

No-load current I0 < 3%, short-circuit voltage uk < 3%, voltage drop (regulation) ∆U < 5%, inrush current max. 8 times rated current (peak/peak). The transformers are equipped with a UP62 thermal expansion sensor (250 V / 2.5 A) or a Pt100 temperature sensor.

These transformers are made according to ČSN EN 61 558 – 2 – 15 standard. Transformers have reinforced insulation and shielding between the primary and secondary windings and they are equipped with a thermal sensor. The secondary winding has an accessible center for connecting the insulation monitor device.

Transformers for power supply in healthcare ECO line

Our line of single-phase isolation transformers for power supply in medical rooms is tested and certified according to the standard ČSN EN 61558-2-15 ed.2:12. The tests and certification were carried out by the Electrotechnical Testing Institute in Prague.

Each transformer is delivered with protocol about test of this specific piece, which is needed for device overhauls. Testing voltage is set up according to standard from 2 to 4 kV. Transformers could be placed into steel case with IP23 and the casing has cable grommets for cables. We provide a variant with voltage conversion of 400V / 230V on request.
